🍺 An abbey beer with meaningful connection
For a new abbey beer, more than just a good recipe was required; a fitting name and label were also essential. Beer expert Krishan Maudgal analyzed the DNA of the abbey community, a place where students seek peace and connection. The inner courtyard, a meeting point between the worldly and the contemplative, served as inspiration. Based on this analysis, Comith created the name “Konnektus,” a Latinization of “connect us,” featuring a logo that subtly refers to the courtyard.
The labels feature the rounded arches of stained-glass windows and symbolize three forms of connection: physical, mental, and emotional. A special chalice glass featuring the cross of the inner courtyard completes the set.
Additionally, we designed a tasting box containing six bottles and two glasses, in which the rounded arches reappear for an enticing presentation.
